Broccoli seed extract capsules from Jarrow Formulas, standardised for sulforaphane glucosinolate.
Sulforaphane is the compound broccoli is best known for. It forms when glucoraphanin from the seed meets the enzyme myrosinase, and these capsules carry both, so that step happens as you take them rather than depending on how the vegetable was cooked.
Why it is on this shelf: sulforaphane switches on a group of the body's own enzymes through a pathway called Nrf2. Among them are the liver enzymes that break dihydrotestosterone, or DHT, down into an inactive form for excretion, and DHT is the androgen most closely tied to pattern hair loss. In animal studies that faster clearance lowered circulating DHT. It does not stop DHT being made, so it acts at a different point from finasteride. There is no human randomised controlled trial of sulforaphane for hair loss, and we do not sell it as a treatment for one.
Each two capsule serving provides 35 mg of sulforaphane glucosinolate from broccoli seed extract. It is a food supplement, not a substitute for a varied diet, and it is not part of your DNA-led plan.

Ingredients
Broccoli seed extract, myrosinase, microcrystalline cellulose, capsule (hydroxypropyl methylcellulose, water), maltodextrin, silicon dioxide, magnesium stearate (vegetable source), calcium ascorbate. Suitable for vegans. Free from gluten, soya, dairy and nuts.
How to use it
Adults take two capsules once a day, 30 minutes away from meals, or as directed by a qualified healthcare professional. Do not exceed the stated dose.
A food supplement, not a medicine. Food supplements should not be used as a substitute for a balanced and varied diet. Keep out of sight and reach of children. Results vary between individuals.
